See our Terms and Conditions for further information, including cancellation details. Register Your Interest Now! - Enter the draw for a Thomas Cook Photographer's Vest! Not only will your experience be a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience, your photography skills are likely to improve no end and your familiarity with the digital imaging medium increase dramatically. Of course we do not control the elements, flora and fauna, and whilst we will do our best to make sure you see as much of this as possible, we are not in a position to guarantee any particular sightings or experience. Tour Vehicle will typically be either a Toyota Landcruiser GXL 4WD vehicle (for up to 6 passengers) or a Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarrier 4WD bus seating up to 9 passengers plus Photography Tour Guide and Guide/Driver. (for smaller groups of 5 or less, this tour is operated with only one Tour Guide.) IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. Accommodation Upgrades At additional cost, accommodation upgrades can be arranged, subject to availability for Day 1, 3 and 5. 2. Variability This is an indicative itinerary, but is subject to change and the operators are not able to guarantee any particular aspect of the tour – the vaguaries of dealing with the weather, natural cycles, free-ranging fauna, and transient flora, mean that it is not possible to guarantee sightings of any particular species, or to ensure that any particular location is visited. The accommodation is subject to availability and other alternatives may need to be utilised. 3. Photography in UIuru/Kata Tjuta National Park Commercial photography in Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park requires a permit. Any photography in the park requires respect for the local indigenous culture. There are therefore quite a number of places where photography will be restricted or not allowed. As a result, if there are photographers with commercial interests on the tour, we will get a briefing from the Park Media and Information Officer as part of the itinerary when visiting the Cultural Centre. For the purposes of the tour, we will not be obtaining any permits for photography. We recommend that photographers either seek permits for the commercial use of the particular images after their visit (this can be done by a separate application later), or they make their own application, and bring their permit with them. Details can be obtained from the Park website. You might like to look at our Tutorial of the Week: Isolating your subject with selective focus using examples from the Flinders Ranges.
